Der Lastenradmarkt hat sich in den letzten Jahren rasant entwickelt. Im Jahr 2020 wurden bereits über 100.000 Lastenräder in Deutschland verkauft.
Der Großteil der Lastenräder wird für den privaten Einsatz genutzt. Das Potential von Lastenrädern für den gewerblichen Einsatz wird derzeit nur in sehr kleinem Maße ausgeschöpft. Das liegt vor allem an hohen Erstinvestitionen, einem schwer zu überblickenden Markt an Lastenrädern, sowie kaum vorhandenen speziellen Lösungen für Anwendungsfälle, wie z.B. für einzelne Gewerke.
Mittels eines digitalen Konfigurators kann anwenderfreundlich dargestellt werden was bereits möglich ist und Individualisierungen ermöglicht werden. Dies gilt insbesondere, wenn das Lastenfahrrad für unterschiedliche Einsatzgebiete genutzt werden soll.
- Braucht es eine Leiter,
- eine Passivkühlung,
- eine Safety-Box,
- oder sollen in der Freizeit unkompliziert Kindersitze installiert werden können?
Es gibt unzählige Möglichkeiten der Individualisierung sowohl im Bereich der Aufbauten als auch in der Konstruktion des Lastenfahrrads. Das wollen wir mittels „IKEA-Prinzip“ in der Produktion abbilden:
- Der Konfigurator erstellt passende Produktionsdaten und ermöglicht die kostengünstige Produktion von individualisierten Aufbaulösungen für viele verschiedene Lastenradmodellen.
- Der Nutzer kann anschaulich das Lastenfahrrad nach seinen eigenen Anforderungen gestalten und unterschiedliche Möglichkeiten ausprobieren.
- Durch den Konfigurator kann eine frühzeitige Kundenbindung erfolgen, gleichzeitig könnten die Bedürfnisse des Marktes besser ermittelt werden.
- Für eventuelle Sharing und Mietlösungen lassen sich optimale Standardaufbauten entwickeln.
Aktueller Stand
Die Entwicklung der Konfigurator App noch in der Ideenphase, da es uns an versierten Programmierern fehlt, um die Lösung in Form einer App zu realisieren. Der Fokus unseres Startups ist zurzeit deshalb die Entwicklung und Konstruktion modularer Aufbauten auf Grundlage der Lastenfahrräder von Riese & Müller.
Configurator for cargo bikes
The cargo bike market has developed rapidly in recent years. In 2020, more than 100,000 cargo bikes were sold in Germany.
Most of the cargo bikes are used for private purposes. The potential of cargo bikes for commercial use is currently only being exploited to a very small extent. This is mainly due to high initial investments, a difficult-to-survey market for cargo bikes, as well as hardly any special solutions for applications, such as for individual trades.
By using a digital configurator options can be displayed in a user-friendly manner and individualizations can be made possible. This is especially true if the cargo bike is to be used for different fields of application.
- Is there a need for a ladder,
- passive cooling,
- a safety box,
- or should it be easy to install child seats in your free time?
There are countless options for customization, as well as in the area of the superstructure and in the construction of the cargo bike. We want to map this in production using the „IKEA principle“:
- The configurator creates suitable production data and enables the cost-effective production of individualized body solutions for many different cargo bike models.
- The user can clearly design the cargo bike according to his own requirements and try out different options.
- The configurator enables customer loyalty to take place at an early stage, while at the same time the needs of the market can be better identified.
- Optimal standard structures can be developed for any sharing and rental solutions.
Status quo The development of the configurator app is still in the idea phase, as we lack experienced programmers to implement the solution in the form of an app. The focus of our startup is currently the development and construction of modular structures based on the cargo bikes from Riese & Müller.
